Local collaboration with Odense Renovation with circular economy in practice

Underflod is very proud to be able to highlight our collaboration with Odense Renovation. We have delivered chairs for their canteens, which help to emphasize how Underflod supports circular economy through functional, timeless furniture. Underflod already had a special degree of familiarity with Odense Renovation, as we have delivered corporate gifts to them in the past. Odense Renovation therefore knew about our visions and resources, which meant that they reached out to us.

Odense Renovation needed new chairs for their canteens and in that connection approached us with the hope that we could deliver 80 chairs to them. Through Underflod's collaboration with Anno Studio, Odense Renovation decided that they wanted the iconic FM 622 chairs for their canteens. The choice fell on these chairs because of their durability and timeless design, which perfectly reflects both organizations' values of circularity and quality.

FM 622

This iconic FM 622 chair is produced in Denmark and was launched by Friis & Moltke more than 50 years ago. However, it is still a classic and a sure winner when it comes to design and interior design.

The chair's frame is made of recyclable steel, and is available in several different colours. The backrest and seat are made of strained oak veneer, and the special structure of the wood is preserved even after varnishing. The colors also come here in different colors.

"Underflod has delivered our canteen chairs. We are very happy with them, and we are really happy with the whole concept of it being sustainable. We have got 80 here in the canteen, and we hope they will last for many years."

A collaboration with shared values

The canteen committee at Odense Renovation has carefully chosen to buy chairs from Anno Studio through Underflod after long, careful consideration to ensure the right choice. This collaboration highlights the importance of circular economy and quality in purchases by the public sector, large and small companies. We at Underflod are very happy that Odense Renovation approached us and entrusted us with this task, as it shows confidence in our company and support for our values.

The role of flooding in the process

Underflod's role in this project has been to find the best possible solution for Odense Renovation. On the basis of our collaboration with Anno Studio, we were quickly reminded that their chairs would be the perfect choice for this project, precisely because these chairs are made from recycled materials, which both support our, but also Odense Renovation's, values.

To ensure that the chairs do not scratch, we have additionally designed a layer of protective foam, also made from recycled materials, which can be placed on the chairs when they are to be hung up on the canteen tables after use.

The result of an inspiring project with environmentally friendly canteen chairs

The collaboration has resulted in Odense Renovation now receiving their canteen chairs, where the iconic FM 622 create a pleasant and inspiring atmosphere in the canteens, while at the same time supporting the principles of circular economy.

This project is a good example of a local collaboration that gives meaning and value to both parties. The collaboration with Odense Renovation has been incredibly inspiring for Underflod, and it has strengthened our belief that we can deliver aesthetic and environmentally friendly solutions for businesses.
